In a groundbreaking display of sustainable fashion, the iconic brand “Propethik” took center stage at the historic Burlington Arcade in London during this year’s London Fashion Week. The collection, a testament to nature’s vibrant palette, featured gradient coloring achieved through the use of all-natural plant and earth-based dyes sourced from foraged plants at Mr. Garner’s own farm in Tennessee and the Hailes Cotswolds farm. Among the stunning hues were osage bark, indigo leaf, raspberry leaves, plankton, woad, and eucalyptus.

The textiles employed in this awe-inspiring collection included hemp, silk, eco-printed organic cotton, linen, handspun tussah silk, and hemp netting. Each material chosen reflected the brand’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and eco-consciousness.

Prophetik’s unique essence stems from the visionary artist himself, Mr. Garner. His vivacity and dedication to crafting distinctive, plant-based fashion resonate with his upbringing on a horse farm in the Civil War town of Franklin, Tennessee. Now split between Tennessee and North Cotswolds, Mr. Garner is immersed in a documentary endeavor, ‘Let them be naked,’ in partnership with the Robert Redford Foundation and Suzy Amis Cameron, delving into the toxins within the fashion industry and their implications on health.

Mr. Garner’s influence extends beyond the realm of fashion, with renowned film director James Cameron and his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron, favoring his creations. From Kings of Leon to Taylor Swift, his music industry connections have embraced his designs, and even Esperanza Spalding graced the pages of Vogue’s best-dressed list in his attire for the Oscars. His artistry earned him a distinguished spot among the top 40 artists in the United States at the Smithsonian Museum in DC, with an ostrich gown and quilted frock coat on permanent display at the Renwick Gallery.

The accolades continue to pour in, with GQ magazine honoring him as Eco Designer of the Year, Paris Fashion Week recognizing him as an Emerging Designer of the Year, and the privilege of crafting a tribute collection for Her Royal Highness Princess Grace of Monaco. His 2019 Emmy win for the Sustainable Fashion Documentary “Remastered” on Amazon Prime further solidified his influence.

Now, as Global Green’s Sustainable Ambassador, Mr. Garner introduces an intimate’s collection named “Wolf x Rose,” firmly establishing his dedication to a plant-based future. Rejecting contemporary dress norms, the Aesthetes, led by Garner, advocate for a return to the natural, a repudiation of mass-produced toxic goods that have become emblematic of the modern fashion industry. Their ethos champions art for art’s sake, prioritizing aesthetics over commerce.

The new collection at the Burlington Arcade evokes the primal connection between humanity and nature, underscoring the belief that it is better to be adorned in plant fabrics and dyes from Mr. Garner’s farm than cloaked in harmful synthetics. This sartorial journey, infused with the Celtic and Picts spirit of the Cotswolds and the Native American heritage of Tennessee, marks a profound step towards a more sustainable and harmonious future in fashion.
